SPARKY DEATHCAP

Sparky Deathcap is the side-project of Los Campesinos drummer Rob Taylor. Under this moniker, he was a viral sensation in 2023, with his single, September, sweeping across the internet after being used on Twitch. One thing led to another, and the track soon had 600K creates on TikTok and numerous bootlegs uploaded to Spotify, eventually leading to an official release via RCA. The kicker? The track released over a decade ago.

Hitting 25M streams in just a few months, the story is a testament to how new media can allow good music to find its way to the top. Sparky Deathcap will be following up the single release with an EP in due course.
